If you have a family with teens, you undoubtedly own at least one video game system. In addition, you probably have a flat screen TV that they use all the time to play their games on. A finished basement can be great for a number of purposes, and makes an ideal game room. Having a bathroom in your basement is also a great feature, in order to be able to answer nature’s call without having to constantly climb up and down the stairs.
Of course, not everyone can afford to have all those things but they do make nice additions if you have the money and space. A good surround sound system and good speakers for the TV and video games along with bright, crisp lighting will complete the space to make it the most fun room in the house. Redoing or remodeling their basements is something more and more people are deciding to do in these hard times to get more value out of their house and it is a lot cheaper than moving to a bigger home.
