If the part near the conjunction between the vane and the clip is torn, the vane will drop. To amend this, you can use a small portion near the rear of the slat and glue it onto the torn part.

Replacing the clips is also very simple. For most cases, you have to change the entire clip; however if only a portion of it is damaged, then you just have to replace that part. For the first step, you need to remove the old clip. This can be done very quickly. Now you just have to insert a new clip and ensure that when the slat is attached, it is all facing the same direction as the other slats.

If you happen to have the damaged header, the situation will become a tough one. First, you need to check the warranty card to see if your vertical blinds are still under warranty. If they are, you have to call the customer service center and tell them about your problem. The only part that you can fix by yourself is the chain. When the chain of the window blinds is damaged, you can replace it with a new one. But if other parts such as the veins or the holder are damaged, chances are you will have to call a professional to see to the problem.
